Maklouba Tote Bag

$16.00

Eco-friendly reusable tote bag with “Maklouba” graphic by Bethlehem based artist, Ayed Arafah. “Maklouba” is named after the Arabic word for flipping a traditional spiced rice dish “upside down”onto a serving platter. Once it’s upside down, the ingredients layered at the bottom of the pot – such as eggplant or cauliflower with chicken or lamb – are on top when served.  The graphic includes Arafah’s own mother’s maklouba recipe in Arabic script where the rice layers would otherwise be depicted.

Reusable sustainably sourced, organic cotton tote bag;  Ethically made by the women Work + Shelter, a social enterprise in New Delhi, India.
